New '98 T5 owner wondering - are there '99 and '00 T5's V70-XC70

Just bought a 1998 T5 off ebay, and while researching and tracking I never saw T5's for 1999 and 2000. Do they exist? I love the car(it is an auto) so much I am looking into a possible future purhase of one with a 5 speed manual. Am interesed in any comments on the '00 model year going to variable valve timing technology and how it effects torgue distrbution. Thanks for your comments.

    Yes there are.... as for the variable valve timing.... Only the exhaust has variable timing and apparently it was only added as an aid to lower emissions when cold so there is no perfomance gain (allegedly). It is interesting to note though that (at least for UK spec cars) the fitting of the Bosch ME7 ECU (with all the attendant fly by wire problems :-( ) did up the power and torque for 99 model cars... it only went up 7bhp to 247bhp and the torque is also up at 330Nm but I ain't complaining!

      Yes, according to volvo n.a. 486 T5 were made in 99 but none in 2000, only left over 99s. I have a 99 T5, and sought out this info and have the documentation. It is for sale, if any are interested.
