Best Tires, shocks/struts for S70 GLT SE S70 2000

Hello all,
Looking for advice on tires and shocks/struts to achieve the smoothest ride in a 2000 S70. Just purchased this vehicle and will be spending alot of highway time in it. What tires have you found that work well to produce the smoothest/quietest ride (non-agressive driver). I have been looking at the new Continental Premier Contact and my local tire dealer hads been pushing the P6's, but my research steers me away from those. Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

1997 855 AWD Michelin pilot XGT 205/55-16 Z rated. Not bad, no vibrations but they thump on strips and holes. 1999 V70 AWD R Conti touringContacts H rated, less tire life, cheaper and smoother, same profile on stiffer suspension.

Replaced the stock 195 MX4V's, (V4's whichever it is) with 205 Continential Conti Contacts several months ago. Very nice tire. They handle very well, and I believe they are slightly quieter that the MX's. Haven't had a chance to compare the wet traction yet, but I suspect they will be fine. (Its my wifes car, so I don't get to drive it very often.)

ive got a 850 with the 16" t5 wheels (i know I know it came with them....) stuck a set of avons on it, have to say go a good deal on them, they are very quiet, ride is a little 'solid' but then again they are 205 50 r 16's os what can you expect i guess...

hold the road very well once i had them bedded in (understeered like crazy for the first 500 miles then suddenly dialed in...weird...)

cant say they are exceptional - because to be honest i never notice them there..they just do the job and i dont hear them (accept on bad surfaces/very wet weather)..they spend 95% of the time on the motorway at 70+...
