What's the best replacement for stock radio? 850 1993

I have no FM on my '93 850's radio, usually. It cuts in and out and usually only works if I first bang on the console. I'm tired of doing this! I think it might be time to replace it. I know nothing about the radios. What is the best one to replace it with if I want it to look stock?

it's now an am/fm cassette. I'd rather have CD, but mostly I just want FM!

Any advice???

Note that a used SC816 may cost more then another choice. But, there
are no mods needed to install so no installation charges. An after-market
radio would take a bit of work. If you are handy, you can do it; otherwise,
    factor installation into the cost.

I'd first try Radio Shack's tuner cleaner. It brought my '86 Porsche's Blaupunkt back to life and it's cheaper than even a used SC816.

Second choice would be the used SC816.

Will an SC816 fit in a 1993 850? The dealer here doesn't know for sure, and said he couldn't recommend it because of that. Dealer said 710, 810, 811, and 815 all fit, but I'm finding more 816s than the others.

      Help!!!!!!!

A good option for replacement is the SC-816 from Volvo. CD, cassette, and of course an AM/FM tuner. Since it's a Volvo part, it fits exactly into the space your old radio takes up.

Not sure the best way to get one, though. Check eBay, as they usually have good prices on them. I got mine through Strandberg's Auto of Centuria, WI. Decent price, plus it was close to me. SC-816's come in the black color for the 800/900/SV90, and in lighter, greyish color that's used in the 40 and 70 series.

    Hope this helps...
