new owner of a 96 glt 850 wagon,any problems flushing the auto trans and going with mobil 1 atf? what about mobil 1 engine oil how bad mite the leaks be 122.000 miles but in perfect cond.any other suggestion about care and feeding would be great,serviced by dealer all 122 thousand miles,i am the second owner thank you

    I would think there wouldn't be a problem doing the tranny, but I would expect leaks with the oil change of the crankcase. Actually, that is what I experienced.

      I changed to mob 1 about 20,000 miles ago. The car now has 136,000 on it. it leaks, never did before. But I did also notice oil below the plug wire cover. Some of It may be coming from the hose in the top. It came off pretty easy. All in all it's leaking from other places about a drop/per night.

      Uh-Oh...

      I recently purchased a used 95 850T with about 98k on it.
      Previous owner had dealer service oil and filter changes.
      I changed over to Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic.

      Am I likely to get leaks as a result of that change??


      I made the change because I had heard so many good things here about Mobil 1, but I do not want to get into a leaky engine situation either.

        I changed a 91 740 over to Mobil 1 at 150K. At 200K, no leaks anywhere.
