the haynes manual says: "electrical or mechanical fault in hydraulic modulator pump motor". so, whst should i do? anyone know anything about this, or some troubleshooting i can try? thanks

I found the 4-4-3 to be a catalytic converter efficiency problem. When this happened to me, it turned out to be the front O2 sensor and not the cat. I'll bet that along with 4-4-3, you'll start to get a 4-3-5 which is the O2 sensor error code. For some reason the 4-4-3 is the first code you get and then the 4-3-5 comes later...
