Can't remove ignition key V70-XC70

Parked on a hill last night and when I went to start my V70T5 the key would not turn in the ignition. Tried moving the steering wheel and finally the auto selector a few times in order to get the key to turn. When I got home, turned off the engine, I was unable to remove the key. The car starts and drives fine, I just can't remove the key (or lock it for that matter). Anyone?

    Can't remove ignition key V70-XC70

Check the park release button next to the shifter as if it's stuck down even slightly, that'll cause your problem. Often soda gets spilled on it so it then sticks. Sometimes you can get it freed up by spraying something like WD-40 or silicon spray on it, otherwise the center console needs to be removed.
There's a cable that runs from the shifter to the ignition switch and when that shift release button sticks, the cable doesn't allow the ignition switch to turn enough to get the key out.
