Place to buy rubber strip over windshield 850 1997

Anybody know a place to buy the rubber strip that goes above the windshield on an 850. This is the one that sits in the channel between the top of the windshield and the roof. Mine dissapeared at some point. Wouldn't have known it except the wind noise suddenly got bad. Already tried FCP Groton. Thanks.

This just happened to my 850, too. I bought the replacement for $30 at a dealer in Philly. The bad news is that the clips that hold the strip in place above the windshield are broken. That's why the "strip" probably blew off on the highway.

Does anyone know how big a deal it is to replace the clips above the windshield? Does the windshield have to be removed?

What if I do nothing? Is there any damage that will occur without this strip in place?

    Joel

Just called the dealer and they want $50. Ouch. Any other sources out there.

I got mine for about $30 at my local dealer, with discount using my VCOA card.

I have not heard of any other sources for this strip. I paid the dealer cost for the one on my '95 850. This seems to be a common problem on 850's.
