Can someone please point me to some references that describe how to replace the front and rear shocks on an S70. I can't find any posts on this.

Thanks!

Not difficult.
Front:
Lift and secure car
remove tire
remove 3 top strut tower nuts in the engine compartment
remove 2 lower tower bolts
remove tower
compress spring with 2 spring compressors($5 rental at your auto parts store)
remove top mount
remove and replace strut
reverse
b sure 2 torque the lower bolts or tighten after you here the clunk sound on the road like I did!

Rear:
Remove top and bottom nuts
replace and torque nuts

I replaced the top mounts or seats at the same time. These fail and create a lot of niose in the front over bumps

About 3-4 hours for me (not a mechanic)
Good luck!

Great...thanks for taking the time to respond. One other question. Does the car need an alignment after this?

Thanks,
Ted
