What type of coolant?/ All season tires S80

I want to flush the radiator and replace with the proper coolant. I drove down to the Volvo dealer to buy Volvo Antifreeze and the parts guy told me to save your money and just buy the "green stuff(Prestone)" at WalMart. I asked the Volvo tech. and he said the same thing! Before I put the cheap stuff in my S80 I would like several expert opinions.
On another topic, which have you found to be the best all season tire? The Michelin Pilot is terrible in the snow. Any suggestions would be a great help!

Thanks Dave

The Michelin Pilot Sport AS and the Dunlop Sport 5000 AS are BOTH speed-rated and M&S rated.

Because I can get caught in late-fall and early-spring snowstorms I've used the Dunlops for several years now. But I still switch to winter tires for the serious winter weather. I have Michelin Arctic Alpins on my Volvo right now and Dunlop Winter Sport M2s on my Acura. The steel rims also save the $$$ alloys from damage during the ugly months.

I also use brand-name anti-freeze instead of the overpriced Volvo stuff.

Yokohama Gardex snows, Nokia Hakkapaletta snows, Blitzzak snows...

Get the picture?

All season tires, by design, do not provide optimal traction in snow. Consider getting a set (all 4) of snow tires (they are called "winter tires" these days).
