Rear window washer not squirtting? 850 1995

I have an 1995 850 Turbo Wagon that I had just purchased used and the rear window washer does not operate. Where is the pump? Does it use the same fluid resivoir as the fronts? Where does the line run for the pump?

Having problems with this bad weather and I need to clean the window off.

Thanks

Yes it uses the same reservoir. I would start by checking the tubing and valve under the L rear cargo area(aka passenger side)

Mark--If you're car is sitting out in very cold weather there's a good chance the line has frozen, despite the alcohol in the cleaner. The rubber line comes up out of the engine compartment and follows along under the top right edge of the roof (at least on my wagon). It froze once on my 97 850. Bring it into a garage and warm it up and see if it works or is still a no go. If it's still a no go check under the hood insulation, right at the bottom of the hood, for a little red check valve that sits in the line. You have to undo the middle fastener that holds the insulation to the underside of the hood in order to see it. On my 97 both the windscreen, back window and headlight washers stopped several months after the lines froze. There is a check valve also on the line feeding the headlight washers (behind the right headlight and a bitch to get at). When I changed out the one under the hood, everything worked. Don't know what the connection was. In your case probably none, but it's nice to know about the little red one under the hood because sooner or later your headlight and windshield washers will fail and that is the culprit. Freezing will damage its tiny diaphram and it will eventually fail, as it did on mine. Rarely if ever does the pump fail, which feeds all three. Dick
