Tailgate Rattle

There has been some helpful discussion on the rear seat latch.Thankyou !Someone mentioned the tailgate rattle. you mean this is fixable? pray -tell-how ? I am about to remove the whole tail gate (and we had the coldest temperature in the WORLD yesterday,I am seious-- Minus 53 C).Assistance would be helpful.

    Oh! I see you have the tailgate rattle blues.

    Common problem in 740, 850, v70 wagons. I guess Volvo does not know yet how to make a sturdy rattle free tailgate.

    But don't worry my friend, there is a permanent fix, no duct tape or glue. Get a tailgate repair kit from the dealer or eEuroparts.com that comes with new clips, metal reinforcers and instructions, for about $20.00

    I have done both the 740 wagon and V70 and now tailgate is quiet.

    welcome in tailgate rattle club
    just go to a carshop and buy a silicone tube or ducktape , perform research on this site,,, make sure youre shock and top plate are ok , and check your rear suspension bushing too ,,,,,
