Switching of Cross bars between 2001 and 1998 V70s with Euro-rails V70-XC70

Okay I need some sage advice. A friend has offered me a set of OEM cross rails from his 2001 V70the car had Euro-rails). Unfortunately the V70 and another car became overly friendly and....well you know the rest. My question is will his cross-rails fit my 1998 V70 which also has Euro-rails. He's the other side of the country so I can't just stick em on and see if they will fit. The point is the price is right but will the things fit?

I have the crossbars on my 1998. The Volvo bars and feet which hook on to the eurorails are made by Thule. Go to Thule.com and use there rack fit tool. It will give you the Thule bar and feet #s for each car. If they match, you have it. If not, you are SOL. I have a sneaking suspicion that they may not fit.
