should I buy S80? 850 1996

hi, thinking about buying a s80, I now have a 96 850 glt and a 1987 740gle, I like the room the 740 has in it, but I like the sportyness of the 850, just wondering what kind of problems these cars have because lets face it they all have em, and if there are any years I should stay away from, and just general opinions on the car. thanks for your input, kelly

    Just stay away from 1st and 2nd model years as i've heard

      I would not buy a 1999 model S80, as there were many changes when the 2000 S80 was introduced. If you're seriously considering spending $$$ on a used S80, you might want to consider a brand new S60 instead. My advice if I was looking to spend that much on a Volvo.
