rear seat squeaks V70-XC70 1998

there is an annoying squeaking in rear seat (passenger side) while driving. it was once fixed by greasing the latch that holds seatback upright. now that isn't working. any suggestions?

    I use a small spray of silicon lubricant.

    It is not messy at all, and lasts about two years.

    I read once that "All squeaks can be cured with a bit of oil. This even works with floor boards and mice if you can apply it in the right place."

    relube the latch and the rubber stop as well, on both rear seats.

    That did it for my v70, unless the rattle is from the tailgate ,and that my friend is another beast that needs tackling before it gets out of hand. LOL

    I am waiting for a reply to this too. Mine is gone for the moment after lubing the collapsable seat latch... Den
