Rear window spritzer on a 1996 850 wagon 850 1996

Hello Everyone,

I have a '96 850 wagon with a 136,000 on the clock. Recently, when I push the button on the stalk that activates the rear window spritzer, I get nothing. Then, 10 or 15 minutes later it works. It's not the cold weather, it happens even when the temperature is above freezing, plus I use undiluted windhshield wiper fluid, which has a very low freezing point. So what do you think? Is it the switch in the steering wheel stalk going bad or the electric pump in the rear that pumps the fluid? Thanks in advance to all who respond.

Hugh

We have a '95. The check valve went out in back of the passenger side tailights, it could be defective. Before that a hose came loose and was spilling into the spare tire well (nothing on the ground).

could be a leak in the line allowing air in it.
