Electrical System S40-V40

Well, I recently to installed the Car Ionizer those using the cigarette plug-in cable. The problem was I need the system to off everything once I take out my car key. But the S40 could not do that when I take out the key, the system still ON to my Car Ionizer. Then I try to check out my family car, all the system will off when the key was turn-OFF.

So, do you think that S40 design it's different as other brand? Or maybe my Electrical faulty? Can you double confirm for those now have S40?

    Electrical System S40-V40

Power to the cigarette lighter in my 2001 S40 (US) is switched on and off with the ignition key. I seriously doubt if you have an electrical problem. I believe it depends on which markets the cars are built for (Europeans smoke more than Americans).

My S40 was manufactured in between the 1999 & 2000 year. I can't to confirm that my car was totally make in 1999, cause it something has been change from the foglamp follow the spec. in 2000 year. So, I just can tell you that my car in between '99 to '00. This is what I'm checking out from the sparepart shop when purchased the foglamp.

So, from the year I hope that somebody can let me know the original system those very closed to my year.
