Magnefine automatic transmission filter

Just curious. Anyone tried this filter on the 850 auto tranny and in which line would you install it? BT Barnum said there's a sucker born every minute (and two that'll take his money) so was wondering if this was just another gimick for suckers ( like me). It's my understanding that the 850 AT doesn't have a filter. They're available on line for $15. IPD get's about $40. I believe.

I think that filter is great and have installed it in the top rubber oil line to the cooler. It has a magnet, filter, and relief valve in case it clogs. Can't beat that. Watch your flow direction. On the 850 that line flows into the cooler.
Have also installed a filter in the PS reservior return. If you do the tranny after a flush you can leave the filter in a long time. I forgot the mfg suggestion but you can find it on their site.

I have done the same as the previous poster.

btw...the return line can be found next to the battery under the intake duct work, Flow is towards the front of the car.

Thanks guys! One thing I forgot to ask. Is the correct size for the 850 transmission line 5/16 ?
