Has anyone had the following engine problem with a V40 when acellerating the car dies off then picks up then might die off again. Could this be a problem with the fuel pump?
We are stuck in the middle of N.S.W. Australia and are having problems getting any answers.Many thanks

Hi there,
Depending on the miles it has done,it may be the fuel filter blocked.

Check the end of the wire where the gaspedal-wire connects to the engine.
There is a small device there (engine) that controls the gas to achive 750rpm when idilng.

Problem with this little engine is known to cause this behaviour.
