long time 850 guy looking at 99 S70 T5 manual!! S70

Yes I have had an couple of 850. The last one got totalled by a dodge durango engine to door (my door). You can see the pics in the photo gallery under 850. Praise volvo.

Anyway the important stuff. I got a line on a s70 T5 with a manual trans. If the car checks out I will start the modding early. The ecu will be upgraded by ipd w/exhaust the day I buy the car. Then wheels, suspension ect. I hear the brakes are great on that car.

My parents had manual volvos for years. Are these manual trans any good? Because I fully expect to be pulling 290hp 310 ft/lb of torque within a month...

I've probably been a guy much longer than you and.... S70

I have 131,000 miles on my T5 5-speed. I've "missed" more than one shift over the years. The clutch is original and the transmission still shifts like new. The car STILL uses no oil.

The electrics and electronics are another story. **** them Swedish ************s all and **** them twice again for always choosing the low-cost bidder! But if you've had 850s you know all about that.
