Rear Main Seal, looking for Volvo mechanic in LI or Queens (NY Area) 850

Finally, at 126K I got a substantial oil leak. Though not confirmed yet, by its location it seems to be rear main seal.
Does anyone know a good Volvo mechanic in Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn maybe?

PS. I always kept the flame trap clean. So despite of what I read on this board, this rear seal failure is not caused by clogged flame trap.

Since the rear main requires the removal of the gearbox, the proper tools have to be available to the mechanic. This is why it is not easy to get "just any ole mechanic" to do the job. I have used, and can recommend "Rusty's Repair" in Glen Cove LI...you will have to look up the #. He ONLY works on Volvos....period! Tell him Alan from Sea Cliff recommended you. The job is not a cheap one...

I talked to Rusty, he was very helpful and spent some time with me on the phone. He knows the job and his price is reasonable. I am very likely to go with him, will set this repair for January. For now - a case of oil in the trunk and I am set. Thanks for the lead.

might want to keep some 'Simple-Green' in there also for the trunk lid/bumper
