As a curiosity, I've never experienced the starting problem known as "lawn mower syndrome". If the folks having the problems will post their oil preference, I think that would be a very interesting bit of info to gather and would help us all with this problem.
I am using synthetic, formerly Mobil-1 10w-30, and currently Amsiol 0w-30. Changing at 7,500 miles.

    Mobil 1, 10W-30, though I've only had the car two months, I've never experienced the syndrome.

    Personally, I don't understand why people have issues after changing oil? I did and have had zero problems.

    Former 5w-30 Valvoline Dino
    now 5w-30 Mobile 1 pure synthetic.
