hesitation during acceleration S80 1997

History: idle surge and hunt, perhaps related but failure and replacement of brake booster. Idle surge and hunt gets worse (brake booster fixed though). Take to shop and get throttle body cleaned. Idle fine but 2wks after engine begins to hesitate after morning start. Seems fine until trying to accelerate on highway. Hesitation and lack of power. Stop, turn engine off/on, engine fine. My guess is water in the fuel system or vapor lock. Thoughts? Solutions?
Do I need to take this to the garage or is there an easier fix.

I had a similiar problem (especially when using manual selection) on my '98 T6, may or may not be related but after I had the tranny software upgraded this problem has not reoccurred.
