I have had really good luck with my 850 wagon and S70 sedan. Both non-aspirated 5 speed manuals. My 850 has 140,000 and the S70, 110,000. With the exception of a replaced heating core in the S70 I haven't had one item fail. Just routine maintainence, oil changes filters, brake pads etc.
My local shop has two 850 with over 300,000 on them. Any other super high mileage 850s, S70 V70 out there?

Sunroof stuck open in long term parking lot of Newark International airport, upper engine mount/torque arm bushing, 3 power door locks, AC leaks including evaporator, cabin temp sensor x3, seat belt mechanism replaced, thermostat, heater core, warped rear rotors, seized front brake caliper, ABS module, on third battery, struts and shocks, stabilizer bar end links three times, rear window washer leak - repaired and leaking again, turbo oil return line "O" ring, oil filler cap gasket leak, drip rail moldings peeling, windshield wiper skipping - since car was new, seat belt door panel damage, coolant reservoir cap cracked, glove box latch, rocking driver's seat, trip computer switch ("DISC" reading), ignition switch complete failure, loose tailgate panel, stereo speaker, SC816 stereo radio main unit. PS reservoir cap leaks and Volvo's only available replacement cap won't fit the reservoir! Plus, probably, a bunch of other stuff I don't remember.
Clutch is original and the 5-speed transmission is still fine. Engine still uses no oil.
Thank you for getting me to list all this stuff! Really! I'd forgotten about a lot of it!

My 1995 855 GLT is approaching 149,000 miles.
I bought it used with nearly 53,000 miles from a dealer.
It's been a good car, no major problems. Recently, the power locks have been an irritant, in that the pass. front door won't unlock with the keyless, and then I can't use the lock function because the driver door lock won't retract. So both lock assemblies need to be replaced. I have to lock the car manually on the passenger fron door, but still can unlock with the keyless, except the pass front, which won't unlock without the key. I think my year volvo had an older system that caused the lock motors to burn out. It's not a show stopper, and I'm not disappointed by it, I use the power locks all the time, so they have been cycled a lot.
No other problems - AC good, no other electrical issues. I replaced dash bulbs, but with the lights on all the time, they get extra use too. The sliding sunroof cover has started to lose grip with the fabric, but that was like that when I bought it. I will remove it and 3M it in place in the spring.
No leaks, I replaced the shocks and struts, new rotors after at least 100,000 miles - no complaint there. I think not having a turbo helps the longevity, as the engine runs a little cooler and has less stress. I would like it to be a turbo sometimes, but it has enough power to get around, and not too much to get tickets.
I did buy a second volvo, a 98 C70 coupe, and it has been good as well, neither has ever left me stranded. I commute with the 855, though, so the C70 is only at about 67,000 miles

All of my probs have been posted here...most notably:
A/C Evap
Leaky fuel injector (diag was very $$$ and took about 6 months, but actual fix - new injector gasket/ring - was not bad)
Air Pump
Sunroof auto-opened one rainy morning...and I couldn't close it (required a new controller module of some sort)
My wife and I love the car - when it works. But we will never buy another Volvo.
