Paint Touch Up Repair and Paint Removal Help Needed 850

95 850 T5-R Sedan (Yellow)

Today I tried to repair a scratch the length of a license plate from my rear bumper using the Volvo touch up paint. Unfortunately, I screwed up and the repair attempt came out looking like white-out on paper (brush lines visible, gritty look). Does anyone have any advice for remedying this problem? Also, a small drop of paint accidently fell on the black bumper trim. Does anyone know how I can safely remove this?

Today's been a bad day so far...

-Ron

The IPD and Langka products are one and the same. I have it and tried it out recently. Sort of works but it seems that you have to apply it and rub sometime after the touchup paint dries but before it hardens (ie loses all its volatiles). I found that it took off most of the original touchup paint that I applied. Maybe I just need to hone my technique before I hone the paint!

IPD sells a paint product that is for your problem, it smoothes out "blobbbed on" touch up paint, they claim it leaves the touch up looking like the oem. it is some type of blending comound that removes the lines and bubbles and stuff

don't remember the name but it is in the Fall catalog they sent me about a month ago.
