Rear Seat Belt Stuck? 850

It would appear that the center seatbelt in the backseat is locked. I would appear as though it was pushed in too far, and now it won't release...not to mention it could leave an imprint in my leather. Any advice on how to release????? Thoughts? Thanks.

Rear Seat Belt Stuck? 850

Hi,

Happened to me a couple of months back (pass. side though). I did not manage to fiddle with it but rather ended up with the belt stuck so far in that I could not raise the seat back. Problem solved by unbolting the lower mount (real easy, search forums for "seat belt" and "stuck" for details) which allowed me to release all tension. Worked fine ever since although I am missing the little plastic stop which is supposed to prevent this from happening.

Good luck
/Johan

How do you get to the lower seat belt attachment bolt when the seat is stuck in the down position? I didn't have any luck searching the forumns for a "how to".

Thanks.

The plastic stop is available from the dealer as a repair part.

This often happens on the wagon when the seat is put down then back
up. You just have to "mess" with it a while pushing in on the
belt to give it as much slack as possible. Sometimes you can pull
it out a bit as you tip the seat forward and then hold it out as
the seat flips back into the upright position.
