Squeaky Brakes V70-XC70 1998

I recently replaced my brake pads with PBR deluxe pads.... I had the rotors machined, and put lubricant between the pads and the calipers. For a few thousand miles, brakes worked great, but recently my brakes are squeaking badly. The car has approximately 140k miles. I have new tires, replaced the old ones with tires of the same size.
Should I also be lubricating the interface between the caliper and the arm that the caliper connects to? I'd appreciate expert advice.

I used to use PBR Deluxe pads. Changed them out due to a safety issue, documented here:

But brake noise was never a problem. I made a point of using Permatex Disc Brake Quiet on the back of the pads before installing them. Try that on your next set of pads.

Don't forget to lube the caliper guide pins. Hope that helps.

most people experience less problems with OEM brakes & pads.

Make sure you apply anti-squeal lubricant to the backs of the pads & shims. You can also try burnishing the brakes by making several 50 to 0 stops at moderate deceleration.

Check the archives. The expert advice will be there.
