98 S70/ABS TRAX light.. saga continues w/bonus oil leak! S70

Well the ABS TRAX light was going on and off for about a week. I was going to
pull the wheels and check the connectors for the wheel sensors but the light
now hasn't made an appearance for about 5 days. So I figure if it aint broke
dont fix it. If the light appears again I'll do the connector cleanup.
Waiting for my low profile ramps to appear and I will crawl under the
beast and install the seal kit in the Turbo assembly and see if this slight
but nagging oil leak quits!
On a positive note a friend of mine has a 98 wagon. His wife was driving it and
she go hit head on which put here into a telephone pole and a fire hydraunt..
She walked out of the hospitol 4 hours later with just som bumps and scrapes.
The cop said he had never seen anyone "walk away" from an accident this bad..
they had to cut her out of the passenger compartment.

98 S70/ABS TRAX light.. saga continues w/bonus oil leak! S70

I guess that sometimes we forget why most of us drive Volvos in the first place. S70s are not perfect but they are damned safe.

HHmm it was the post before this one.;-) I am aware of, and have been to
your site.. also I have read all the good reviews on your work. However,
a Volvo rep advised me to check the connectors at the wheels. He claims
these are the #1 cause of intermittent ABS/TRAX light triggers. Easy check
once you pull the wheels. I looked at them with the aid of a mirror and
was not impressed with the lack of strain relief on the wires coming
out of the connector.. at any rate worth a try... of course the Damn light
has to come back on again before I do anything intermittent problems
are fun.
