On most new cars these days it seems that whenever the owner depresses their
remote to lock the car, the horn sounds off once or twice. As long as I have had my 850 this has never occured. Is there a way of modifying the remote to do this on our 850's?

Yeah, there's nothing I like more at 3:00 in the morning than hearing someone locking their car right next to my bedroom window. Leave it silent!

It would be that nice "beep" you hear on the newer BMW's when the lock/alarm is activated. I have a friend with a new Toyota Tundra which makes the same kind of beep. It sounds so nice.....much better than a horn (like Fords or aftermarket).

I dont believe so.. its a basic ignition kill alarm system that volvo put in.

The new BMW alarm beep is nice though. I would love to put that in my 850.
