Has anyone replaced the hose from the oil trap to the flame trap without removing the intake manifold? If so, how?

My wrench did it the way you propose. I know he said he could have done it by removing the mani, and that would have allowed him to hide the hose as it came from the factory. But he said he just laid it along the front of the head, totally visible to the naked eye, and no harm would come to my baby. Ronnie, if you are out there, maybe you can explain this better....
