anybody know how to dismantle the washer pump? 850

My washer pump went out today. Definitely not electrical, so I removed the pump. No obvious damage on the outside. Does anybody know how to take this thing apart? Any other ideas?

If you buy an aftermarket unit, check for function (hook it up) before installing it. SOme of them are pathetic... I've wasted a lot of time this way. But then again, some of them can be OK.

    Not worth the hassle 850

Just replace the pump, they aren't that expensive.....EVEN at your nearest dealer where they probably stock them. Takes about 1 minute to replace too.

I was in the same situation. I rapped the thing on a hard surface and got it to work a little longer, but I think something was rusting inside. I also didn't see a reasonably way to get it open without damage. Eventually replaced it with a universal Trico type that does OK, but not as good as the OEM. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably go directly to a Volvo part from an online source and be done with it.
