rough idle...but only when cold S70

When I start my s70 in the morning, the idle is rough, but just until it warms up, never stalls. I have noticed I have to drive at least 15 minutes for the temp gauge to get to mid point. I doubt these two facts are related but need advice. Also slow to heat.

1. Is the bad idle related to a possible bad mass flow sensor..I got a trouble code of P0102?
2. Is my thermostat going bad? Got 144,000 miles with plenty more desired. Thanks for any advice.

My 98 V70 did the same thing. Turned out to be the thermostat. When it gets old and sticks open, the cold coolant runs through the cold engine and doesn't allow the engine to warm up properly, hence the long warm-up time.

I bet the thermostat has failed already in the open position. It takes about 3 min for my temp gauge marker to get to the 3 o'clock position.

The thermostats typically are good for about 70K miles. a few
people recommend replacing them at the 70K servcie. So I suspect
the thermostat on your car may need replacing (I think you should
do so with that many miles on it).

Not sure why it would idle rough when cold. I have a 98 S70 and it
seems to warm up pretty quick (and my thermostat failed at about 65K
    miles).
