random electronic quirks 2001 v70 t5 V70-XC70

My mom has had some strange electronic things happen in her v70. The most notable is the sunroof has opened a few times on it's own. She hasn't explained it to me all that well, but it seems like it has random electronic events from time to time. Is this sort of electrical problem a common thing with this model?

Thanks, Andrew

It might be possible to rap the sunroof switch with your knuckles when you start the car, or turn it off, because I've done it (I'm a big guy.). Does mom wear big, bulky rings, and is the switch scratched? If so, you've found the poltergeist! (Althought you say it's an '01 and they came with poltergeists as standard equipment.)

I would not say they are common, but your experience is not unique. My 2001 S80 has several electronic "gremlins", the most annoying of which is a heater that automatically shuts down after the car has been driven for 60-75 minutes. The temperature setting dials then have no effect. Fortunately, I can usually avoid long trips or carry some blankets.
