My message center has just started to show the " Regular service required" message.... But I only have 3,800 miles total in this vehicle, is this normal? I thought normal service would be at around the 7,500 mile mark. I mostly drive a mixed commute with fairly long trips. To top it off I did my first oil change with Mobil 1 at 3,500 miles last week!
So what is supposed to be the normal service interval?

    It's set to go off every 7500 OR 6 months so if it sat around for a while on a lot before your bought it (likely), it went on due to time, not mileage.

      I wasn't sure about that but I checked the build date and it is 8/02 so it is to set it self off every 12 months or 7500 miles. We bought it new 3 months ago so it sat around for awhile. So far we have had no problems with it. Thanks for the reply.
