S60 sports chassis & VIN decoder S60

I have a MY2003 S60 2.4T with 17" Thor wheels and which allegedly has a factory installed lowered sports chassis with Nivomat levelling system.

When I compare my car to other S60s around, I can't really see the difference in ride height. As a matter of fact, the rear end seems to be even higher than others. Anybody else noticed this with their lowered chassis?

I know that type of sway bars, shocks and springs can be decoded from the VIN plate. Does anyone know if there's a VIN decoder for S60 models available?

    Hi Mark,

    I've never heard of a factory lowered 2.4T S60 either. What I do know is that the 2.4T S60 is also available with AWD and that the non-AWD version is slightly lower than the AWD version. Maybe whoever sold it to you was "stretching" things a little .. it is true that the 2.4T is factory lowered compared to the AWD version. Then again, maybe you do have something different from what I've seen. Let us know what you find out.

    I've never heard of a "factory lowered" S60 nor seen one myself. Who told you that, is it in writing somewhere?
