My father-in-law has a 1999 XC with almost 50,000 on it. Are there any problems areas to be aware of at this mileage? Are there any usual problems to expect once the car goes post 50K? What is the highest mileage any one has heard on a XC for production years 1998 to 2000? Thanks to all who respond.

saw a v70 xc 1998 here in sweden with 180k miles on the odometer ....

These are good cars , but the 4wd system is wery sensitive to different tires and sizes ...
