Hi, I have a small problem. When I place the gear into park, the knob doesn't always pop back out which doesn't release the key. Excuse me for using any incorrect terminology. The service advisor says that this is not covered under my warranty. Any suggestions?

you mean you are under warranty and they won't cover that repair? I assume that means you are just under powertrain warranty now? Did they at least tell you the problem and what it would cost?

well, i would try spraying some WD40 in there first - or maybe tuner cleaner or rubbing alcohol?. Not too much. Just enough to make sure its just not the button sticking (my wife spilled coffee in her vehicle once and I was never able to get all the radio buttons to work easily again).

correct. I called up the local Volvo dealer and explained to the service advisor the problem. Maybe there was miscommunication, but he said it's not covered and that there would be a charge to look at it. The mileage on the car is 49,700 miles.

Yes, I tried the WD40 and the last couple of times, it seems to be working. Thanks for your help.
