Sunroof Won't Open 850 GLT 850

Having aproblem with my sunroof. It will flip up in the back for vent but when I try to retract it open completely into the roof to fully open it will not. It lowers the back side but the passenger side of glass is lower than the drivers side and will not retract back into the roof of the car at all. Anybody out there had a similar problem. Not so worried now that winter is coming but like to have everything working as it should and don't want to end up with it flipped up in the back during a snow storm if it decides to breakdown completely.

appreciate the help,

      Sunroof Won't Open 850 GLT 850 1995

Could be the track. About a year ago, I had a simular problem. It would open for vent, but only open a little way and one side was lower than the other. The it would not close all the way. I removed the roof and found a piece of the track jammed in it. I got it to close, and started to search for parts. The track is available at the dealer, but I amazingly found a complete sunroof for $150 at a salvage yard about an hour drive from my house. Most yards were $500 to $800 for the complete sunroof. It also looked like a real pain to replace the track. I just scrapped the old roof about 2 weeks ago, but I removed the motor and control unit. If it turns out to be one of those, I will make you a good deal on them.

      regards,
