Head light wiper fluid 850 1994

The wiper fluid for the windshield is working ok, but it is not washing the front headlights. I tried plugging the hose to the windshield and it seems to get the liquid to the lights, so no plugged hoses, but when I hook up everything, the liquid does not seem to reach the headlights. Any suggestions?????

Mine went out as well. The diafram in the check valve had sprung a leak, causing the fluid to drizzle out of the valve itself.

I had to remove the passenger side wiper arm, and pull the hose to it through the back to get reasonable access. I pulled the hose off the clip located on the plastic peice IN FRONT of the radiator. This should allow you to pull it in front of the radiator, and get a good look at it (and replace it). I took my old one, split it in half and closed it on a wall from a ziplock bag. I get mucho cool dry wipes. You mught just wanna replace yours.

If you own a Haynes manual, installation is the reverse of removal. I also think this is one of the tasks that don't require special tools or knowledge, and that they don't refer to the dealer.

The check valve for the headlight washers is stuck. This is a common problem, and it's easiest to just replace the valve. The difficulty is getting access to it. It's located behind the passenger headlamp. You may have to remove some trim pieces around the headlamp, then follow the hose until you reach it. You may have to do all this by "feel".
