ABS light comes on/off 1998 S70 S70

The ABS light comes on and goes off on my S70. It sometimes stays on for quite a while and sometime it goes off right after starting the car.

Can anybody give me some feedback/ideas of what to do to fix this problem? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.

    Like he said welcome to the club!!!!. If it goes of and on like that it is most likely the module. My has done it for the past year. when it gets hot out it is always on. the Brakes work but the ABS is off.

      Joe,

      The heat could be my problem. I live in Southern Utah where we get temps around 120 in the summer. Have you found anything to be successful to remedy this issue? Does it really matter if the light is on?

      This is exactly what happens on my 96 850 Turbo. Your web site says you haven't any experience with repairing those ABS controllers. Have you still not done any pre-S70 module repairs yet? Wouldn't it be pretty much the same?

        Actually all 96-97 850 are the same as the 70 series. The reference is for the 40, 60 and 80 series.
        I need to update the page, I have already repaired two for S80 models.
