Front power windows and South African windshields V70-XC70

1.) I use silicon spray on the window channels from time to time. It seems to help. I use a piece of cardboard to shield the parts of the door I don't want to lubricate, like the interior trim.

    2.) About $235, installed.

Because of the deplorable condition of our state's roads (thanks, Governor!) I've been going through windshields, headlights, fog lights and touch-up paint. Over the summer I replaced my chipped and sandblasted OEM windshield with an Indonesian-made windshield. I deferred the $550 Swedish windshield figuring that it wouldn't last any longer. Two weeks later, THAT windshield chipped. The replacement for that one was made in South Africa. Quality seems at least OK, no optical distortions. The price was right.

They build BMW 325s for the US market in South Africa.....
