I've read on the archives that E-01 is commonly displayed on the radio when a cd is stuck in the changer. I'm getting this code and there are no cds stuck. The changer is doing nothing; making no sound; won't eject cd cassette (i've gotten it out with a credit card). I removed changer, brought it up front and plugged it into head unit--bypassing the extension cable routed to the trunk--and get same result. Is there any doubt that my changer is dead? Do I have any option other than replacing it? (also, when changer unplugged, radio displays EEEEE--don't know if that means anything). Thanks for any advice/opinions.
