850 turbo blowing smoke? 850

My 850 turbo is puffing some smoke on hard acceleration. Obviously, first thing you think of is that the turbo is crapping out. However, the turbo was just replaced about 6 months ago. So this doesn't seem like it should be happening already. Anything else that might be causing it to blow smoke?

    What color is the smoke? Does it smell like burnt oil? And is it a good, solid gas cloud on startup acceleration?

    It's about 250K miles to early for a recurrence, so I would also look into such issues as crankcase ventilation, which can also produce oily smoke on pullaway starts, though nowhere near as much.)
