Ride S70

Is there any way one can drop in softer springs/struts to get a smoother Caprice/Cadillacish sort of ride? Any suggestions?

Thanks

You may also check your wheel and tire size. If you have 16" rims with a low profile tires then that is part of your problem. Get a 15" rims with a high profile tires, will smooth out the ride.

Ride S70

Ray,

That would help his problem a little, but definitely won't get the Caprice / Cadillac ride that he is looking for.

I'm running P195/60VR15 on 15" wheel covers on stock shocks/springs for the moment and the sedan sure doesn't ride nor handles like any Caprice or Cadillac.

No shock, tire, nor rim rize will make the S70 ride like a Caprice nor a Cadillac due to the overall design of the suspension system. The Caprice & the Cadillac were designed for people who want to cruise down the highway on a softer suspension; while the S70 was designed as a sport sedan.

Personally, I am already finding that my S70 ride is too soft for my taste, but unfortunately due to the current economy situation and my wallet, I'll have to live with it for the time being.

Hope that helps !
