I read on this message board that replacing the front brake pads on my '01 S40 was a breeze, so I ordered the pads.

Now I've got them; but the directions are less than specific. So I looked it up in my library's Chilton's; but they don't even have a section on the S40. Ouch.

Does anyone know of a website? Or when I take off the wheel, will it be self-explanatory?

Changing the front pads is indeed very easy but you should have an instruction manuel for referral. Haynes manuel is available from IPD for about $20. Very good to have if you plan to work on your car or just get to know more about it. Happy wrenching! Dave.
