Ok , auto tranny flush whats the deal

We´ve got 2 cars on wich both are auto transmission

1992 850 GLT and 1998 S70 2,5 SE

130K miles on the 850 , 90k miles on the S70

tranny oil never changed on neither of the cars

What´s the deal , volvo says , " no need to change "

called a company that specializes in auto tranny repairs and restorations..

They say " Do you change the oil in your engine ?" i say " Yes "
they say " Well there you have it , why should the tranny be any different? "

They say to change it , is it hard to do??

Im used to do some work on the cars myself , oil changes , brakes , cleaning flametrap , housing and such...

Is tranny fluid a big deal to change for a guy like me?

Advice..

A general consensus of readers of this board is it should be done
about every 30K miles. It made a big difference (smoothed out the
shifting) in our 1995 855.

ermik,
put "volvo bay 13" in to google.
since you found this site i think you can get the rest.
i have done both my 2000xc and 97glt.
it is quite easy, that is if an oil change is easy for you and you can follow directions.
good luck,
Kele'
