brake pads and rotors 850

Hey. My thanks to all who helped with my last question/problem.

Just wondering if anybody knows who the manufacturer is for the original brake pads and rotors on my volvo 850 turbo wagon. It's time for a change and my mechanic, who buys his parts from the local dealership, is quoting me a price of $90 each for the front rotors, and $65 each for rear rotors. He doesn't like to install anything but original volvo parts (though he probably would install aftermarket for me), so I'd like to get original parts if I can, just hopefully at a discounted price from what he is quoting me.

If anybody can tell me the manufacturer of the original rotors, and pads if possible, and where I might look for a better price, I'd sure appreciate it.

thanks,

kevin

I did OK with Autohaus AZ. $35 each for front rotors and $25 for a set of front pads. Shipping was free. Nothing heavy - I just try to keep the costs down. All of the parts worked out - I did the work myself with a Volvo book from PEP boys. Good luck.

I've used www.volvoparts.com with no problems. Front OEM rotors are about
$60 and a set of front pads are about $45 (from memory).

Since you have internet access, try any of the guys that have ads on the top of forum. their prices will be MUCH cheaper than dealer and you can buy OEM or aft mkt. The OEM rotors are Brembo; the pads may be ATE not sure. Either way, get the parts online and take to your indie to install. I do this 99% of the time.

Thanks for the help! I've actually done that, visit the sponsors on the site. So, another question. Which are better, Brembo or Zimmerman? I'd like to get the cross-drilled, but not sure if it would be worth it. Any suggestions?

thanks,

kevin

Who do you recommend from above ads? V70-XC70 1998

Got any that you have had good experiences with versus those with bad experiences?
