Trust Jiffy Lube to recharge AC? 850 1997

Does anyone trust Jiffy Lube to top off or recharge R-134 on a Volvo.
They do have a special, and while I might trust them to change the oil, I'm
not sure how trust worthy they are on A/C recharge.

Also would you trust them with even an oil change?

Any comment?

I would not trust J Lube to change my oil and filter !

I do speak from experience - if your ac needs r134 go to a reputable mechanic and determine the reason and appropriate fix.

Why risk your very expensive ac system components to save a few bucks?

My younger brother used to work at a Jiffy Lube for several years and even though he was a conscientious mechanic he told me several horror stories of his no so competent co-workers. Stay away!

GO to costco or wallmart and get 1 can only and I do mean 1 can and just plug it in and fill it up every easy take 5 minutes and you done...

one big can and 1 can off oil....

no more than that ..... the whole system can hold only 1 can....

I put in 3 cans than the whole thing shut down we take the car to dealer to suck everything out... cost me extra $100 because I over fill it..

so 1 can only and you good.....

I dunno. I just brought my new car in for its second oil change on Saturday and they couldn't remove the drain plug because the quick lube place stripped the head of the drain plug during the first oil change. To say the least, I was less than overjoyed.

They said the same to me a few months ago and the drain plug hasnt been the same since.i ve done the oil changes since myself but the drain plug still drips a little, and thats with the OEM washer and a new plug and correct torque.....that said i did trust jiffy lubve to replace the cap&rotor it cost $130 and they used Bosch parts...that was a few weeks ago it runs great....I've been thinking about AC too
