Crankcase pressure.Turbo 850

My vehicle is having a positive crankcase pressure problem. My car does not have a PCV or a flame trap, how is it controlled. Is there a solenoid and what is the fix?????
thank you

Turbo engines do not have flame traps BUT do have a PCV system. Start by making sure that the PCV hose/ beather box isn't clogged but that'd be unusual. One can remove the upper hose (under top plastic cover) and blow through it to check.
The next step is to find a shop with a cylinder leak-down tester as that will determine the health of your piston rings. I'd suspect that you have bad rings, termed "blow-by" (cause of high crankcase pressure).

I'm just interested in learning more about this. How does blow by or bad piston rings cause high crankcase pressure??

my 244 turbo had a oil trap that had to be kept clean. i think the 850 has the same thing. has a vacume line that gets filled with carbon and causes the pressure to build in the crankcase.

    have you tried volvospeed.com?
