tranny flush question V70-XC70 1998

Hi all,

I'm about to do my own automatic transmission flush on my '98 v70 XC using the Bay 13 instructions. My question is about the clamp that you spread to release the line from the rad. I'm a couple hrs drive from a volvo dealer and the clamp doesn't seem to be available locally. If it breaks, is it possible to use some other type of hose clamp? Seems like kind of an odd-ball clamp to me. Also there's talk of an o-ring involved that could get lost or be damaged? I need a bit of advice before proceeding. I think i'll try to flush from the lower outlet to get out as much of the old stuff as possible. Thanks!

~Gerald

the concensus is to flush from the top hose, since this is the fluid being flushed out by the tranny. Don't try it without having the replacement clamp with you, since the clamp needs to be replaced after you loosen the old one.
