Here is a better description. It might be called the flame trap? On the right, back side of the engine, the plastic tubing for the air intake go into the turbocharger. On the air intake, right before the turbo charger, there is a fitting. Two tube come out of it, a regular rubber tube and a smaller harder, flexible plastic tube. The plastic tube comes to a little rubber mount at the fitting on the air intake, this is broke, so I need to replace the whole tube as it seems, since I cant just replace the rubber mount. The tube runs up to the front of the engine, and under the intake manifold and fuelrail, it is insulated as well. I just want to know how to replace this, and where is the other end. if you buy the hose from volvo, it has the switch that the small vacuum hoses built in to it. but i think it has and extra fitting up by the airfilter that youll need a plug for, there is a bulletin so make the parts guy look it up and give you everything you need, as far as the vaccum the tubing is plastic so you only need to replace the small end connectors.leave the plastic tubing in place.

You dont have a flametrap on your model.. I replaced that vac line about a month ago myself on my 854T. I didnt mess with elbows and just replaced the entire pvc line running it with the fuel rail instead of of under the manifold.

where is the other end of that pvc line go to?

the breather box under the intake manifold is where the larger breather tube goes, the one with insulation around it. but didnt you say the rubber grommet on the air intake hose where the electric switch is was worn out and loose?

No, I am talking about the small pvc tube that comes out from the same fitting, right next to the larger insulated tube. The pvc tube ends right before the fitting and goes into a rubber elbow, that elbow it broken, and I dont think I can just replace the elbow. I need to replace the entire pvc tube, plus I want to route it differently anyways. I just want to know where the other end of that tube is, it goes under the intake manifold and fuel rail, and I cant seem to trace it to the other end.
